Jon, it was great meeting you on the salt!!!  congrats on your speeds!  (we were the guys in the orange Charger)

See you next year,
-Scott

that Charger? ......  that is one bad-ass car. I wish that I had taken a few pictures of it. I didn't ever think I'd see a car that the craftsmanship would equal that of Blowfish. I was impressed.

Hope to see you next year.

Jon

Time to start working on the Project for this year. We've met with the engine builder about the turbo engine, getting together once again next week. Trying to do our best to avoid the last minute chaos of last year.

Oh this little something showed up before Christmas:

Hoping to get one that reads better than 210 this year .......

Lots of things to do ......

We should be there. This year will be working on the  F/BGC combo.  We plan on taking the N/A engine to do an engine swap just incase something doesn't work out with the turbo deal or we get bored and decided to bump the other record.

My brother and I are playing with the thought of putting a 5 speed G-Force tranny in the Mustang just for the hell of it.  It will make it a lot more fun to drive and a bit faster too. ( that should be fun.... it got loose on me last year at 192 ( GPS speed) and ended up running 188 in the lights. We both want to see a 190+ time slip for the stock block 302  8-)

38 lbs of Garrett 4294 the things a beast, it's 1/3 the size of the block

Well this is going to get interesting ............. lots of new fab work to get done.

Thats a gta 4294, depending on the boost you want to run, be mindful of shaft play. They loosen up way faster than the full shaft seperate nut gt4294. The cheapest alternative is to put a new chra in berore the housings are destroyed. It will still run and drive and make boost as is, just not last as long. The folks at majestic turbo helped my brother out on his, and it was just starting to touch the housings after 6 months run time with good oil.

mid 800's, 20lbs boost, running fat with lots of timing pulled out.  didn't even lean on it.

for an example... second pull was 821hp at 8,000 with 18 psi. really fat and very little timing

after engine gets  in car it will go to Westech chassis dyno for fine tuning. it can make 1,000 at 8,500 rather effortlessly .....just a matter of turning a knob and a few key strokes

dyno is at engine builders ... Bruce Nogrady.
