Looking for some pixs of Fiat X1-9 and Metropolitian
« on: February 11, 2012, 10:10:58 PM »
I would like some better quality pixs of the green Fiat X1-9 and the yellow and white Nash Met. I  also wouldn't mind other cool sports car pixs.
Stand on it....brakes only slow you down.

Has a checkered past.

PM Ray the Rat, Bonneville picture taker extraordinaire, or Johnny Hotnuts owner of the Fiat... Don't know the Nash owner, but someone does

Not sure.

I have a couple of 4x6, 35mm pics of the Metropolitian in the staging lanes, it is easily recognizable the cab looks as original. I am not sure what the Fiat looks like, was it white with an extended hood like the Metro?

"cab looks as original"

I think it may be chopped a little -- like a little over 6 inches.

I  knew it was chopped, that kind of goes unsaid but it still is recognizable as a Metropolitan. I still do not remember the fiat. I have got to get a scanner and learn how to post pictures. I also have pics. of the Crosley, even though a little underpowered it is still a good looking sports car and also of my Corvette and another dragracing. If you want them I would be glad to mail copies. I just got a digital canera but is hard to put down the Pentax.

The Fiat is out of the Portland, OR area so you have to come out west to see it Garrell. You may want to put Bonneville on your list of things not to miss. It's worth it!  :-o :-o :-D

Every night I watch vintage Bonneville speed trials on the internet, it helps pass the time during long sleepless nights. Believe me I have made planes in my head and built numerous cars dreaming of getting on the salt! Long trips are extremely hard on me because of damage to muscles and joints by strokes and because of Parkinson's desease and rheumatoid arthritus. The trip to Ohio will be difficult but I can't wait to get there and see what the  modifications to my truck and a smooth track will do for my speeds compared to Maxton. I should show up wiith 50+ additional horsepower. Thanks for the invite but I will live the Bonneville experuence through you guys post and pictures.
