April Volunteers for The Ohio Mile
« on: February 10, 2012, 08:02:10 PM »
Looks like I'm doing the schedule for at least the April meet.  With EVERYTHING being new I'll be working closely with Keith to determine how to do this thing at the new facility.  In keeping with that I'm starting a bit early to gather names, skills, areas of interest, etc, so we can figure out who will be doing what.

So -
Please post if you're interested in volunteering for the April meet.  I'll PM you back a questionaire so we can gather more data and help you have the best experience possible at the new track.  The goal is to put you in the "hole" that fits your "peg".

THANKS to all who have made this work in the past and THANKS in advance to those who we know will step up to make the ECTA a continuing success.  We welcome our "Oldtimers" back and also look forward to some great newcomers.

Thanks, Dan.  I'll look for your note - no tickets bought yet so I can adjust the dates as needed.

Sorry Dan -- too far for a po' boy to walk. I had hoped to find a way before shutdown "belongs" to someone else. Everybody Go for it -- safe, fast and fun for all.

Ken - You know we're going to miss you GREATLY.  Folks not in the know - Ken is one of the good guys and has been a fixture in shutdown for some time.  Shutdown is a tough gig - absolutely nothing to do but when there is, it's serious.  Besides, I REALLY like him and his bride - great folks.

Rick, Jim - I'll put your names on the list and send you a questionaire as I get it completed.  This doesn't obligate you at all until you confirm that you're coming and what you're willing to do as we'll be counting on you at that point.

Thanks for your interest!

Dan,

All the times I went to Maxton it was only on Saturday, so I never had time to do the volunteer thing.
I will be getting in late Thursday afternoon and staying at the Wilmington Inn.
I am looking for stuff to do for Friday and part of Saturday.....Shutdown sounds cool.
Email me at gkadams at earthlink dot net and let me know.

Dan, As only a few of you will understand, my wife may not always be a bride -- but I'll die a groom.
