Little T was sitting here admiring your tank. His 5 year old gearhead eyes told him that your car was cool and looked like one of his hotwheels.

Hey Wayno, My name is Mike and i bought one of your tanks W/the extensions about 4yrs ago. Your build looks great!!! Do you actually have the side rails that conform to the shell that you could sell me so i could get my butt in gear and start this long diserved project? I always stop by on the Salt to say hi and see how things are a goin! Are you considering any room inside the tank for added weight (lead ballast) to keep her planted on the Salt ?I would love to see your tank this year!! Mike

Yes Sir those guys went fast !!! i was there in 63' when he went ' 289 ' with that small hemi 255 cid i think.
This was before the fairing etc just the 6-71 and 4 port hilborn with the oval grey scoop, a real race car looking good in the nice yellow paint job.
Not sure how much faster a tank has gone since, also his was stock length too.
When he stuck it in top gear he lit up the rear's and i will never forget hearing it freewheel, wow was that cool !!
Like the rear shot of your tank too , what color will you paint it?
Don the tank fan

Wayno, Did you stretch your tank at all? It dosent look like you did. So are you semi comfortable in the tank when its buttoned up? I was wondering if there was enough room without a stretch? I will be almost prone also in mine. I guess it just depends on what you use as drive train, water tank ect. The rear shot of your car looks great!! Whats the record in your class? Cant wait to see it.. Mike
