What'samatta, Fred?  Gettin' anxious to see if you'll be on the shirt this year?

One of the bidders hasn't yet given me the okay to tell everyone who it is, but I can list the other three.

38Flattie, Stainless, and you are all in the "winner's circle".  Corngratulations.  Stainless says he won't be showing anybody's hind end this year, so we're okay there.  He's got a great idea for the art, and so does that unknown feller.  Butch is pretty sure what to send, and that leaves only you to come up with your idea.  Speaking, then, of the art, please send your art/photos directly to me AND Ray Buck.  He's doing the artwork for us this year and needs the photos ASARP so he can get to work.  We'll make the shirts in June or early July.  His email address in on his avatar part of the Forum.

If you're going to want a quantity of 'em (this goes for everyone, not just you, Fred) -- please make up a list of what sizes and quantities of each size you want so we can make sure we've got enough for your special order and for the regular buyers.

Thanks to all of you that bid.  It'll help the landracing.com website in general and the forum in particular to have this shot in the financial arm.

Fred, I was hoping for ash again this year, doesn't get as dirty as fast....
Charles, have you sent your picture in yet for the spot you won on the shirt?
I think Jon keeps the shirts a secret until almost speedweek... except the winners get the early preview  :-D

What do they look like ?  Well, before we can show you we need all of the folks who bid highest to send me (and Ray the Rat) photos or whatever or said vehicles.  I've got one out of four so far -- and that's from Stainless.  The others haven't showed up yet, but I've sent them remind/elbow-joggle notes a couple of times asking for their art.  Maybe they'll see this and realise it's time to get off their (collective) duffs and get the art moving.  Maybe then, after Ray has had some time to work on them -- maybe then you can see.  but don't expect that 'til June or so (see above reasons).  Nancy's looking right now - to see how much more the grey ones cost than the white shirts.  Remember -- this being a fund raiser we need to keep the "profit" margin as high as we can without raising the price too far over $148 each.

Edit a few minutes later:  She reports that the grey shirts instead of white ones will add about a buck to the price at which we can sell them.  We'll look to see if we can do better while the bunch of you decides whether or not you really do want grey.  The idea of half grey and half white shirts might work - but maybe the price would go up because we get a quantity discount for buying 120 or so of one color/style.

Here's a question for Charles:  How many shirts shall we get and make in your chosen (pretty danged big) size?

I heard that SSS is making custom shirts for Bob Durey with a tail flap so his butt crack don't show. AKA as a vertical smile. I also heard he buys BUTT CRACK PUTTY and uses a flat blade shovel to apply it.
Bob Have a great day.

A few years ago Geisler made Boxer Shorts that had printed on the back side: DON'T BEND OVER IN WENDOVER which was clairvoient in being shortly before "inflation" attacked the room rates in Bendo......I mean Wendover.
I saw Bruce at lunch yesterday and he looks better and is still UGLY.

Bob, having a horizontal butt crack makes funny noise when you slide down a bannister that makes your lips flutter and sound like a two stroke, kinda like Stainless streamliner leaning out.

Stainless,

I chose NOT to BID this year... The shirt may have been a bit crowded  LOL

I do however always buy shirts to support this site and all of you too !!

for 2012 I have to concentrate on getting the car and the 2 motors ready and all $$  need to go towards that... not advertising...

3 Big 200 club goals this year... so I have to put my $$ where my goals are..

Seeing you're on the air now, Charles -- I did get your request for a pair of gray/grey hats.  I'll get them out in the morning.  Nancy's gone to Denver and SLC to visit the kids - so my follow-through for orders is kinda sluggish.  Nonetheless -- they'll go.  I do have your mailing address, don't I?  Nancy keeps that stuff in her "landracing.com" address book -- I think.  I suppose I might as well ask you to send it to me one more time, anyway -- but not here on the open Forum (unless you're okay with it).

Later --
