I think I'll call for an end to the t-shirt art auction -- for we've got at least three or maybe four bids.  The "auction" will end this coming Wednesday at midnight Eastern Standard Time (in other words, at the absolute end of February).  38Flattie, Stainless, Fred Vance, and Charles Venable are all in the running so far, in that order.  It'll take $151+++ to get on the shirt for 2012.  There's room for three for sure, and maybe four, vehicles on the shirt - so you'll need to beat the lowest bid to be one of the chosen.

Four and a half days remain, ladies and gentlemen.  Here's your chance to be famous (?) for the sake of landracing.com.  Thanks to all of you that have already bid.

One of the bidders sent a note requesting that I list the apparent successful bidders before the auction closes, so I'll do that - this Wednesday around suppertime (for us that's 7PM EST).  He also upped his bid.

So comes next the question -- will we have three or four vehicles/whatever on the shirt this year?  No, I won't accept any photos of naked/near naked racers, so don't even bother me with one (well, if it's of a naked female racer you're welcome to send it to me, but then I'll have to ask how you got that photo of Nancy).  Any comments?  Sure, I might make a few more $$ for the site with four, but depending on the layout -- it might be crowded.  I guess time will tell what happens.  Four has been the standard, but last year it was three (plus Willie's tombstone).

Bid now, folks, and thank you very much.

Bump - - to remind you that you've got 'til Wednesday night to bid to get on the 2012 Salt Talks shirt.  I'll remind you that these shirts are sold to folks year 'round, not just at the picnic, and therefore your vehicle (or whatever, but not skinny butts, okay?) will be viewed in many locations.  Hey, even the guys in Australia-land buy 'em - you could be famous over there, too.

What's the current bid? I'll cough up a roll of fins to get a fully clothed picture of the ASS crew on the shirt  :-D

Dean, it'll cost you at least $176 to get into the game right now.  I've got three and a half bidders (I'd explain, but it's a secret ) in the running, though - I'll tell you that much.  Go ahead and offer a bid -- many of us would be happy to see you instead of Stainless' smiling crew.

Do you have a shot with everyone facing forward (dropped trousers as well)?  THAT one would be pretty tempting to have on the shirt for all the world to see !!!  OR- we could photoshop everyone's cracks horizontal and make smiley faces on 'em ???  Mmmm....maybe you should just come up with a second choice.

Gentlemen, IMHO, you guys need to step up and help Slim out here.

This is a great site, so not only do you help the site, you get your car/cycle on a cool shirt! C'mon-do I hear $300, $500, $1000?! :-D

Some of us are not close enough to having an image that would work to justify bidding-NOW---well since you put it that way I would go $ 200. for where ever we are at the cut-off point!---Maybe we would at least have a roller by then! :|

Stainless, I think you bid (and paid) $2750 last year.  Look it up to be sure, please.

As for you, Sparky -- we'd be tickled pink to have a photo of just about anything you've built on the shirt.  Hey - how 'bout one of the CFD pictures -- the colors are bright, for sure~! :-o :-o
