electric (or whatever works) fuel shut-off for motorcycles

Having never gone land speed racing, I'd like to be able to run my modified bike (Yamaha RD400) in both gasoline and fuel classes.  As it uses a standard gasoline tank with gravity feed to the carburetors, how do I go about putting together a handlebar mounted fuel shut-off system?  Thanks to any and all for your assistance.

pingel offers a cable operated , handlebar mounted shut off and
petcock assembly.

The pingel fuel shut off switch is simple and works ... they are not shy about the price ... Joe

Saltwheels,
Attaching with a nipple shouldn't be a problem as long as there is a bung in the tank for it.
Vibration could be an issue if the nipple is too long.

Ol38y,
1/4" is larger than the factory valve [350cc] and I was considering using two of them.

I hope the web elf dosn't nail me for using nipple and bung in the same sentence. :-D

Am I missing something humorous or are we intentionally delaying the response...you only need the ignition cut-off on the handlebar but you need to be able to cut off the gravity feed while seated on the bike?   :cheers:

In SCTA at least, on a fuel bike you must be able to shut off the fuel from the bars...

OK...Missed that but I still believe that the bikes I looked at only had a remote kill for the nitrous and not the main tank which was still only via the petcock.  I didn't look at it that close but I just don't remember seeing a remote mechanical for any gravity feed tanks.
