About crapped my chapps tonite, watching Worlds Dummest on True TV, and Tonya Harding was wearing a 60th Anneversary Bonneville Participant T shirt.  Anybody got the details on the 2008 event, and what she drove.  Don't want to make her mad, she could break my arms with a ball bat.

Yeah!  Look at my siggy at the bottom.  Tonya Harding raced my engine in 2008.   grin

Tonya is a friend of Pete Richardson's daughter, who is a long-time member of his racing team (check the records for V4(F)/(B)VGC) #1931 and variations thereof).

In my limited relation with her, I think that she is a woman who has been raped by nearly every man that she's ever had anything to do with including father, husband, lawyer, etc...  Vilified by the liberal press, i.e. Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, etc, and the local conservative press, i.e. Lars Larson.

My advice: get a life and stop watching garbage television.   evil

Mike (and his friend Jack D.)

OBTW: I do NOT like her, but if I had been treated as she has been I would have gone postal (and network television would be a far, far better place.)  YMMV

Jeese Mike;

That was a lot quicker than I thought, didn't mean to make an enemy with an Irishman.  I think it is cool that she was on national Tv with a Bonneville shirt.  I thought is was tongue and cheek humor, didn't mean to get my Aunt Baba Wawa involved.  What kind of TV do Conservatives from the tree hugger state watch?

Steve, she has been to Bonneville several times... I think 8, 9 and 10... didn't see her this year... When she showed up in 8, Johnboy suggested we take the little bat we use to help stuff the chute tube over for an autograph...  grin  told him to go ahead....  grin
Didn't do it... Johnboy is a little smarter than he looks....  rolleyes
 cheers

Thanks Bob,

Thats what I was wondering, what her involvement was and if she came back for more salt.  I woke up this morning thinking about what I had done to provoke the first post by Mike?

She was at Speed Week last August. Did not drive because she is/was pregnant. Her current husband was along for the ride, looked totally confused.

I remember watching her skate in Portland before here skating career took a turn for the worse. She was very
good, to bad things went wrong. I spoke with here at Bville in each year she drove. She was very pleasant and
cordial and certainly fearless driving a stock bodied Model A to over 100 MPH. Hope to see her there again.

I shook her hand, i don't remember which year 08 or 09. She drove the 1931 stock Model A, Likety Split. She set a record.

Awesome.
