Twin Holset HT60 which have very similar mapping to Garrett GT4708 (81mm), Precision Turbo ice water intercooler, with a very, very large reservoir tank (partially to act as ballast). Turbos are mounted where the passenger would sit in such a way that a catastrophic failure would not injure the driver. Actually the turbo location really worked out nice and everything is easily serviceable. As a result, the engine compartment is very uncluttered.

This car has been sold.
It should be in the salt this year.

Tony, you are correct. Wait till you guys see this thing on the salt. This car is even nicer than I remember it. It has been almost 4 years since i have seen the car in person. We intend to be at speed week with it this year.
I may start a build thread about this car but I need to okay it with the new owners.
Even though it will detract from our liner effort, I think the added experience will help with our liner effort.

Rob, I hope you have run through all the updates in the 2012 Rule Book and made sure they are in place. I recall looking at one of the cockpit photos and didn`t see a throttle pedal loop. I hope to see the car in person, and trust you have done your homework.....Knowing how thorough you have been in the Streamliner design, I`m sure you have checked this stuff.....

Does a throttle loop help anything if you have a cable actuated throttle?
We know the seat needs change, have you seen anything else we might have a problem?

Does on both of ours....  if the return springs broke they want you to be able to close it....

Yeah, but is hard to "push" a throttle cable. I would think that a third throttle spring would be more effective in the event of throttle stick. We do have a throttle stop under the pedal to keep from going over center or stressing the throttle shaft under wfo condition.

We get this question a lot in tech with new cars. We understand the reason for the question.  But.........       :?

The Answer......... Toe strap, throttle returns, or hoops,............ are required.    :-o

If you'd like to change the rule you can get a rule change form on the SCTA web site.

If you use a more substantial type cable such as Morse or similar you can close the throttle with a toe loop. The extra safety may be worth it. The chance of a broken spring or bracket is a good reason to install the multiple springs in multiple locations on separate brackets.

I added the other names as examples of what they've been called by different people/groups. One in the same to me.
