We ran 193mph last year at 358cid naturally aspirated with twin carbs...  Hoping to have the fuel injection migration completed for April and get over 200 by getting that gawdawful hoodscoop off the truck!

I think we'll all pick up a couple mph in the absence of those God forsaken bumps at Maxton!  Nothing piques my sense of awareness more than spinning the tires at 180mph in a 5,000lb truck!!!!!!!

Been there done that,,, spinning and hitting the rev limiter because of "the bump"..

I woulld hope the better and reportedly smoother surface would give us all a few more MPH
(no start area dogleg and no long shut down obstacles)  but Ohio long shutdown is 1000 foot shorter,, but much better braking surface,,, either way, I am putting complete new braking system on the Stude and New Chute.

Before we got the torque arm set up correctly (for top end vs. starting traction), I was blowing the tires
off going into 4th... no bump needed. That will definitely pucker you up at 185+mph
