Ford Falcon Race Catergory
« on: November 21, 2011, 10:54:31 PM »
We are trying to figure out which class our car will fit into in the SCTA class system. This will give me an idea on the horsepower numbers our small block will need to produce.

Looking into the rule book this is what I am up with: D/BGC

Car specs:
Stock-bodied 1962 Ford Falcon
Ford explorer 8.8 rear end
Ford 289/C4 with aftermarket EFI (Megasquirt) and a Paxton Supercharger.

Thanks,

Craig

If you had a conventional (mechanical) injector and no electronics,it would be a Classic Gas Coupe for sure, but the Megasquirt and accompanying stuff moves it over into Gas Coupe....or Altered if you change the front Aero or engine setback, and/or run it on anything other than event/spec Gasoline.....

The difference is 209 MPH vs 276 MPH.
