  While sitting in my doctor's office, I picked up the Sept 2011 issue of Automobile Magazine.
  In it is a article on a delta wing race car which was originaly designed for Indy car racing.
  The article has several great pictures showing all the aerodynamic features.
  You car read the article on automobile racing.com and punch in the Featured catigory, then type in Delta wing race car.
  Unfortunatly, the article only shows one picture which is a unflatering side view.
  Try to find a copy of the magazine to see the whole package.                Bob

Ben Bowlby gave a very good presentation about the car's potential at last year's aero seminar at IMIS in Indy!

They will race this critter at the 24 HR of Le Mans next year!

  When I looked at the frontal view, I couldn't help imagining how the body might work on the salt flats just as it is designed.
  Even though the rear wheels are set pretty wide for a streamliner, with all the aero trick's it would be neat to try.  I would sure like to see  wind tunnel smoke test on it....
  He has some high dollar backers, including Chip Gannasi and Dan Gurney who are nobody's fools...............  Bob

I just hate to think what happens the first time some aggressive driver in one of those things goes for "the gap". :-o :-o :-o

  Dan, I am not sure I understand what you are saying?  I say that, not having a broad command of aero.  I only relate to slippery and that sucker looks like it could coast thru a Northwest forrest without a scratch..............  Bob

The point I was trying to make was - when Delta driver closes on a couple of cars running side by side the pointy end could wedge the car between them and go on for the win.

Aero looks like it would be good as Bob said.  Cornering looks like it might be a little touchy from what I see from the plan view.  The car would need a lot of surface area at the back to create a down force at slower cornering speeds.  As a kid I remember my tricycle not cornering at high sidewalk speeds very well....have to wait and see.  Hopefully the big money backers have this figured out.....
