When Burke was the speaker at the Bonneville NW Reunion he had stories from way back when.

Combining his experiences, his ability to speak and his down home character made him a marvelous experience for the guests.

Missed? Without a doubt!  He has left a huge void in the history of LSR.

I was privileged to know him.

Oh ya, he shoed a few good cars too.

The attached foto was done at the 2011 Gas Up.

My best wishes also to Jean Bixby.

God Speed, Burke.

I took this picture of Burke Le Sage with Art Chrisman just last Thursday at the SEMA Hall of Fame Luncheon.  This is truly sad, he was a very special man.

A man with the most interesting of business cards, RIP Burke.

Self proclaimed "World's Tallest Midget". Burke's contributions to landspeed racing and pioneer of Save the Salt will be treasured for years to come.

God Speed Burke

I put this on the home page of the site, too:

Greetings:
This is Richard Parks and I haven't been sending out the Car Racers Newsletter for some time.  You can pick up the latest news at www.hotrodhotline.com, Guest Columnist/Richard Parks, or at the Society of Land Speed Racing Historians Newsletter at www.landspeedracing.com.  These are free websites and the Lawford family let us use their sites to post news about hot rodding and the racing community.  Below is a special announcement for a very special man who helped my father in the SCTA, NHRA, SEMA and other groups.  He was a man who was always quick to volunteer with a spirit of friendliness and kindness that we will always remember.  Burke was honored by many car organizations and the Parks family is deeply saddened at his passing.  Please come and join us for his Memorial and Celebration of Life.
