You mean I can't import Tony Paco Chili to CA anymore Mike?

DW
Import all ya want, I prefer a Cold Saturday afternoon, with a big pot of homemade stuff on the Stove, Spaghetti optional. :-D

In my experience, when it comes to Chili, everyone has their preference, worse than BBQ when it comes to the purists.

At JFK where I work, we have an employee veterans group that supports veterans not as fortunate as us by fundraising for events at the local VA hospital (Northport NY).   In late September we brought them their most requested food .... 500 White Castle Hamburgers ... you can guess the reaction of the surgeons there ... but the guys were very happy ... We are planning our next event for mid December with $5k in phone cards ... not sure if they will allow back with White Castle burgers.

Now I'm being serious here - I think that was a really cool thing to do.  And while the Docs may have teased y'all about it I'll wager they thought it was an excellent thing, too.  Those guys (and maybe gals, too) have earned the right to a treat, whatever they decide a treat looks like.

GOOD all over you

To help spell Cincinnati - use the common pronunciation mode of the Finnish language.  Spell it like you pronounce it (well, Finn is pronounced like it is spelled -- double letters, both vowels and consonants, are all pronounced).

Boy I'm glad that I have been pronouncing it correctly all these years :-D

Saw these while searching through some old photos! Flew over the Wilmington airport a few years ago just before DHL left... Lots of planes sitting on the ground. Im assuming the runway we are racing on is the shorter on?? anyway I was surprised to find these...

JD - Yep, we'll be on the shorter one.  IIRC, it was repaved totally in 1999 and is smooth as a baby's behind.  I know Joe literally LOVES it!  I'm looking forward to taking the Camaro down a smooth chunk of pavement - with a new engine.

Our track is the shorter one to the south...it was built five years ago.

They have scrapped all of the planes...scrapped. When Keith and I were there three weeks ago, there were four and a half left without engines. Details on the layout, cost and all the other stuff will be posted very soon.

Sucks about the planes.  I was planning to buy one for my flying palace - right after I win the BIG lotto.  Oh well - I guess it'll have to be the mega yacht instead.  The first step is in place - I have a ticket.

if anyone wants to circle down through Tallapoosa, Georgia on the way to Wilmington I would love to buy you a Burger Chick's "Big O" burger, oh yeah Tallapoosa was originally Possum Snout when founded in the 1860's as a gold rush town. It had the largest wooden structure in the U.S. the Lithia Springs hotel. Wealthy people from up north would come down and spend the winter, probably to pan for gold and eat a Big O burger. I was trying to find my "I would really like to know thread, is this not it?

HAPPY NEW YEAR,   Garrell Patterson
Oh yeah, at midnight on new years eve we have the possum drop count down.

This Wilmington, Ohio thing is starting to get weird for me!  :? It is 26 miles from my front door!  I helped build some of those DC-9's in Long Beach in 1966. (Still have my toolbox with the Douglas Aircraft tag on it.)  Now I find out my neighbors cat loves to eat White Castles: Bun, meat, pickles and onions!  :-o
But I will be there come April!!
