I remember reading an article in (I think) Hot Rod Magazine in the 60's about Bill Burke's pumpkin-seed streamliner when it was first built and powered by a Ford 6. Can anyone remember what magazine and issue that would have been?

I just read it but then put all my 50s and 60s mags back away last night! I will see if it is an easy find.

Tman, thank you for the effort you are putting into looking....I know there is an article in the Jan. 1961 SPORTS CARS ILLUSTRATED MAGAZINE but I'm sure I also saw one in Hot Rod. Trouble with getting old, Dodge CRS.. cry

This http://www.nitroactive.net/sixties_hrmags.html shows two Bill Burke articles in the 60's:

Jan 1960: Bill Burke's Harley-Powered Cooper Streamliner

Jun 1965: Bill Burke Profile

No reference to a Hot Rod article in this HAMB thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=304996

Pretty sure the car is featured in an Autolite ad as well as a little writeup. I will keep looking.

Been working on this for a while and I'm pretty sure HOT ROD did a piece on the engine while SPORTS CARS ILLUSTRATED did the one on the car..Thanks everyone.
