At the request of an attorney for the rocker arm firm I've removed the entire topic about "Don't do business with. . .".  I don't like having to edit the site like this, but with a threat of potential litigation unless I do remove it, and with my resources to investigate (with my attorney) further being very limited, and with his assurance that landracing.com's potential liability will end once the topic is removed -- I had little choice but to delete everything.  Sorry for the interruption of the normal flow of information.  Let's now get back to racing.

Slim,

Thank you for explaining the situation and I am sure that folks will understand.
This board seems to be pretty much civilized and well maintained. No doubt a reflection of the community.

Keep up the good work, John

seems like the rocker arm company should be more concerned with getting customers the products they have paid for instead of hiring attorneys.

I guess I tend to err on the side of caution.  That's my story for now.

Maybe we need a thread for individual experiences, good and bad, with manufacturers, suppliers, fabrcators and companys.  No trash talk, just a narritive of your experience with that company.  Members can look at it to see what experiences others have had before they commit a batch of cash.

In this case, not a bad decision. IMHO.

Gary Patrick is or was the owner of Rocker Arm Specialist's and helped me imensley on my early Old's engine in 1999 thru the last year I ran the Old's in 2007.
Amongst the things he did was to modify some investment cast stainless steel rocker arms meant for a 440 mopar, machine chrome moly shafts and locate a manufacturer to make new intake maniforld gasket's for my engine (394 Old's).
I last talked with him about two years ago when he dug up some adjustable ends for a set of McGurk Cadilac rockers I had.
Gary is not the kind of guy who would screw anyone, and from what is stated in the first post it sounds like he has sold the business and it has been renamed.
It is a shame that the name of a honest business has been possibly besmirched by what appears to be "new ownership".
If Gary still is involved in any way, I am sure things will be corrected.
