Jon - I got tied up and didn't get to you to buy my plaques.  I'll send a check to Up North and we'll do it by mail.  Great to see you and Nancy!

We're someplace in the middle of Pennsylvania, heading for Ohio for the night - and home by tomorrow evening.  What's this white stuff around here -- cotton candy for Halloween?  It's all over the houses and hilltops. . . :-P

Slim, you sure that's not salt?  :-D

See yuh in O-hi-yuh next year!

I was very late finding this forum, i posted occasionaly on another but almost no activity. I  knew the people that make up the ECTA had to be more passionate about their sport, or way of life, than what i was seeing. Anyway, i am here now and enjoying it . Slim, is it too late to purchase the plaques, if not i will want two and maybe three depending on the cost. I would have taken one of the large ones but from what i am seeing it appears they are gone. If you still have the plaques would you email me with the cost and mailing address and i willsend you a check. Thanks, Garrell Patterson

To them what might be wondering:

I emailed Garrell and let him know the status of extra plaques - and that is that while we don't have any more on hand at Kudos Laser Engraving, we've still got the art in the file - and can pretty easily make more.  I've given him the information - but will let you folks know that if you, for some reason, want more of 'em -- we can make and ship them to you.  Post or email or PM, hey?  And - Merry Christmas.

Jon, did you fall for the old "the checks in the mail " line? Does pony express still deliver the mail near that close to Canada? I looked on the map and you are really in a remote area, that's my kind of country. Somewhere i gave a little history of Tallapoosa, But I can't remember where, did you catch it?.I mailed your check on Monday I think so you should it soon.

Happy New Year later tonight

They're in the truck and will be mailed this morning if we get to the P.O. by 11 (that's when Melissa closes on Saturdays).  No, your check hasn't arrived yet -- so we're still on slim rations.  But that's okay - we're getting to like hardtack dipped in the old bacon grease and served with stale water.

Happy New Year, and yes - I did read your Tallapoosa story.  What is it you said -- that it used to be "Bungholio"?

Garrell:  No, I don't remember the date -- but I think Nancy does, and she's on the phone right now -- I'll get you an answer.  - - - - Okay, she says it was this past Tuesday - after the long holiday weekend.  You oughta get 'em any day.  The check arrived and the bank hasn't called to say it has bounced, so I guess things are okay there.

Let me know (all of you, not just Garrell) if there's anything else I can supply in the way of personalized stuff.  Here's a hint of what's next:  I'll be making up some photo souvenir stuff for Charles/Cajun Kid.  I hope he'll show it to you when he gets it.

Charles, I did a few things today using photos -- and proved to myself that the better the photo, the better the finished work.  If you (and of you) send photos you want worked into coasters or paperweights or coffee cups or whatever -- please send the photo with at least - at minimum - no less than --- 300 dpi (dots per inch).  It'll make for a big photo file when you send and will take a moment longer - but it'll be worth it.  Don't bother sending photos taken with your cellphone's camera.  They just won't work well - at all.
