I'm glad I saw this thread. Can't get to Maxton, but a friend will pick up a plaque for me. Did you decide on metal or plastic?

The plaques are metal -- silver colored with black engraving.

Thanks for the nice response, folks.  You'll have a nice memento of racing during the days at the Maxton airfield ECTA events.

Slim, I'll take a small one at the track - it will make a nice memento!

Unfortunately, this is my first and last visit to Maxton

Will you be doing one for the inaugural Ohio Mile in Wilmington?

Give it some thought!

Woody, I expect that we might be talked into making some kind of plaque for the Ohio experience once there's a logo and a cool name and so on.  And for sure we'd put something on it like "I raced the first-ever event at the Ohio Mile".  But that's not 'til springtime.  No, we don't know if we'll be able to make it -- even though it's just a tad more than half the distance to Maxton.  But it's not like we won't try to get there.  See you in a week, okay?

Randy:

Don't put it here - but what's your address?  I've got the ZIP - need the rest.  Don't put it here and you'll sorta foil the scammers and spammers.  And - this note will remind others that choose to have their plaques mailed to include address.  Thanks.  You'll get yours. . .

That doesn't sound quite right, does it?
