Never had a traction problem -- only have a horsepower problem.

Wilmington sounds like a nice place to visit even if you're not racing.

Would one of youse guys please refresh my mind -- will there be a high-octane unleaded at the final Maxton event?  We use MUL-A at Bville -- 103.5 octane, no lead, 3% oxygen.  What's the closest we'll find if we go there?  The bike is tuned for the MUL-A -- don't want to suffer too much degradation of performance by running Bunker C instead.

Jon - Joe T posted up what's going to be there - 2rd. or 4 th. post in this thread.  It doesn't mention O2 content but you could probably call the fuel guys.  I guess Joe or Keith would have their number (as we have YOURS!).

Thanks, Dan.  I figured that someone would look for the post and give me a reference so I didn't have to go back through 'em all.  The response says there'll be 50 gallons of 100 no lead.

Unh, wrong-o, Fred.  I've got a five gallon can -- but since we'll only use a gallon, if that, for the entire weekend, and since I want to have fresh gas for the dyno in another month or two -- I'd like to leave that one factory-sealed for now.  See -- I sorta (but only sorta) did think in advance.

May I offer this...get to the track with a five gallon fuel jug and have the gas guy fill your tank and jug and seal them...you can uncork the jug later in front of the gas guy or one of the officials and fill you tank.

Jon the ERC cans seal very well. I have used gas that was over a year old, no problems. As a matter of fact, as soon as I open a can of VP Q16 I put it in an ERC can. wHEN i WENT TO THE DYNO THIS YEAR THE q16 was a year old, no change. Sorry about yelling back there, too lazy to go back and fix it. :-D

You can find the specifications on the Rockett Fuel here:

I have a local station that sells the 100 Octane Rockett, so I am bringing an extra 5 gallons just in case...
