Saltwheels you probably noticed that the Wilmington Inn joins property with a Bob Evans (breakfast) and a Damons(ribs, chicken)resturants. Easy walk. The 68 Family Resturant is a small mom and pop resturant 7 miles west on Rt 68 outside of town, on your map it will be Mt Pleasant. Wrong direction for the air strip but they have the best Friday night fish fry (perch) and the best breakfast for the money(fills the plate).

With all this talk of food should Joe Timney lay in a supply of  w-i-d-e-r containment seats? Ohhhh , that's right, extra weight  is an advantage
in LSR!!!!

ECTA still owns the tower ... just take it with you after the last meet ... might be as hard as it sounds ... I would pitch in a weekend to get it dismantled ...

didn't look into restaurants too much. I like hotels with continental
breakfast in the lobby. 68 restaurant sounds good.

I know about having a lot of weight on the salt ;
not so sure about it on concrete.

Hello, Jerry, and welcome to the landracing.com forum.  I'm glad to see you here -- as a show that more than just a bunch of racers will be glad to see the ECTA folks when we show up.  We enjoyed that at Maxton -- and look forward to more of the welcome attitude in Wilmington.  See you next spring -- and here on the Forum, too.

Not too important anymore, but someone mentioned Mac's Breakfast Anytime.  Gone, Kaput, No Longer in Existence.  Nope, you can't eat there.  I wonder where all those fine Southern waitresses went (let me fill that for ya, Darlin').  No idea what happened but I took some newbies there for breakfast last meet and it was history.

OMG Dan! You just broke my heart!
Now where will I eat on Monday morning. I was so looking forward to my "last breakfast"

At least there's a Bob Evans (as if there were any doubt) in Wilmington!  :-D

Sorry, Deb.  The Wilmington Bob Evens has been gone for several years.  The building is now an ABC store.  But if you come to Wilmington:
1. Look us up, fer Pete's sakes!
2. We'll take you to the Goody Goody Omelet House (dumb name, great breakfast).  It's on Market just toward town from New Center.

See you there

Duh!  I just figured out that Deb was referring to the OTHER Wilmington!  Oh well - as we age........

I know that Deb and Todd have relatives in this Wilmington so I was thinking they might have been coming here.

Great to see the dates.  Thanks for doing the work of finding a new place!

Looking forward to a shorter drive from Columbus OH for some LSR...even though the Disco Nova and my Mustang both did a leg of the trip to Maxton last year!
