Sometimes people run a bike that is safe but does not comply with all of the class rules for time only.

I thought this might help. I don't know about the rules but the photo can be blown up if need be.

The other picture looks like he has his leg laying on top of the peg.

are both pictures from the same year?

in original post there is a retracted rubber foot peg under his shin.
what looks like an aluminum peg by the rear axle;
and no cut out by the bottom center of the number plate .

reply 17 shows a cut out on number plate and nothing that looks
like a aluminum peg by the rear axle.

.hhmmm.?

To my knowledge the AMA will not allow current racers to help with inspections.  If they did I would volunteer on the first day to do it.

dan,
you're not a racer per se ; and even if you were a rider;  I don't
know what the problem would be.
as long as you weren't looking at anything nrhs had their hands in.
if that were the case, that infamous jawa  would have a hard time
making a run down the salt when it is finished.

like running an lsr vehicle, teching them is not as easy as it looks.

as for the bike in question it looks like he folds his pegs up and then rests his shins on them.  Not sure if that complies with the rules or not?

I do not race a sidecar.....    (but do own a racing sidecar team) I have been racing sidecars for over 30 years on the salt, AND brought sidecars first to the salt back in the 1970's AND wrote most of the LSR sidecar rules....but todate both the AMA and FIM have not allowed me to be part of the Tech. inspection or impound inspection of the sidecars....would be more then willing to help out.......Oh, well.............................................................
