It speaks volumes to your effort that everything held together with the exception of the one piece the category won't permit you to replace. Congratulations on the time slip! Next year?

We had supper with a bunch of the others at the Nugget's restaurant just off the atrium -- and the sound of the rain on the glass roof was really loud. But maybe it wasn't rain -- but no, it must have been, 'cause within a few minutes we had to change to a different table because of all the water that was dripping on us. And after the meal - which was the most unworldly event in which we've participated in Wendover in all of the meals taken here in the past decade (see me privately for a detailed explanation) - we got to the parking lot and there were puddles and the truck was rinsed pretty well and so on. The lightning was flashing and the rain kept on sprinkling -- --
And, in other words, folks -- if there's racing tomorrow we'll be pleased. I don't know if it rained on the salt -- it was way too late to go out there for an inspection -- but assuming it did rain some -- we might not be able to race in the morning. Stay tuned and hope for the dry, hey?

T2011 - Tim our driver "upped" the speed by 20% over the first run on Wednesday and got 31.16668MPH this afternoon. We achieved our goal of 30 mph.......and learned so much.
photo is on the return road timing slip pick-up; Marlo himself handed Tim the timing slip.....

"Got'Cha" was first run in 1974. Bill Temple entered both 2 clubs in 1976 with records in AA/BGR. At El Mirage 201.79 and Bonneville at 220.
In 1977 Greg Temple started driving "Got'Cha" and entered the El Mirage Dirty 2 club in 1979 @ 201.97. Greg went on to set two records at Bonneville, one in 1981 at 241.848, then in 1991 he set another record at 262.230
Bill and Greg were the first father and son to enter the El Mirage Dirty 2 club. They broke the D/BFR at Bonneville in 1981 @ 241 with top speed of 249. This record still stands today. In 1991 they set the A/BFR @ 262 which was later broke by Duane McKinney.

Montana Boys, did you get the record you were after? It looks like you'all made a down run, a return run, and there was enough engine there in the impound to measure the displacement.

Water visible for the first half mile (real water, not a mirage). I'll stay at Land's End for awhile.
