Salt Conditions for WOS 2011
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:34:46 PM »
Anyone been out to see how the salt looks. Has there been any rain since the Bub meet? Leaving here in the northwest next Sunday, less than a week to go.

I got off the phone with a motel guy a little while ago and he reported that it was in the low 90s and overcast.  Doesn't sound all that bad from here, where we've got frost warnings posted for overnight tonight.

No word on the salt per se - but a light sprinkle during the next few days will be okay, okay?  Then -- hard sun and strong winds to dry everything, then temps in the low 80s and gentle winds.  Anything else?

Oops.  Disregard the previous post.  I shouldn't try to  write when I'm half asleep.

Salt was a little rough, much like Speedweek, only dryer and harder until after we left, then it rained a little...

Oh, you probably wanted to know before the meet....
