Fastest motorcycle
« on: August 30, 2011, 12:51:19 PM »
I know all the car info, fastest record, fastest mile, fastest exit speed for cars but, I need the info for motorcycles. Ed is out of town so I can't contact him. The info doesn't appear to be on the SCTA web site.

I am doing an Internet Radio show tonight and I would like to have that info. Does anyone know the fastest mile and fastest exit for bikes at Speed Week? I have the fastes record for Al Lamb at 226+ on the Sir Speedy Honda 1000-MPS-BF.

Check the show out at:

Speed Scene Live.com tonight at 6 PM PDT.

Thanks in advance,

It looks like Al Lamb did it on the #2 course and in mile 3, there is no exit speed listed on that run.His fast time was 233.229 mph.

I just looked it up again and it was run on the short course.

On the long course Ralph Hudson had a 5 mile speed of 230.060 mph and a exit speed of 231.630 mph. I believe this is the only one showing the exit speed on the #1 course. All others were slower then the mile time.
Hope this helps.

He made a faster run.
1979B    1000CC    MPS-BF     Sir Speedy Honda    195.691    227.264    237.141

Fastest long course exit speed.
9B    1000CC    SCS-F      Team McLeish Bros.    186.807   197.100   214.897   227.721   232.163
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.

I got some info from Scott Guthrie.

He missed Al's 237 on the short course.

There is a exit speed for Ralph Huson at 231 on the long course.

I'm going with these numbers.

Thanks to all,
