Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.

I never knew a chute can be deployed at 426mph? Is it a special high speed chute of sorts?  It's a question from someone who never used a chute (on a car).

This is the video that I used to pull the information.

The first chute to be deployed is a small drouge chute.
The large chute is deployed at 300 mph!

"Who needs a big gas tank when you are only going to run a lousy minute and 18 seconds?"

Well, Dave Davidson told us at the 200 MPH Club banquet that the 911 car's speed and distance limitations are limited by the amount of fuel the gas tank can carry.  If I remember correctly -- he said the tank holds 27 gallons of fuel - and that it runs dry at just past the 3.  Let's do the math:  3 miles and 27 gallons is 9 gallons/mile, and 27 gallons times the price of nitro -- what it is, $30/gallon? - $810.  Now I know the car doesn't run 100%, but ethanol ain't cheap, so discount a few bucks and we still end up with $500 +/- for a single run.

The 911 car DOES need a bigger fuel tank - and it runs less than 1 minute 18 seconds!
