A week or so back on the American Pickers TV show they came across an old stremliner car that was in really bad shape. i think it was a Pierce Arrow but not sure. Does anybody know anything more about that car they were showing? Looked like it might have been a factory land speed record attempt.

I saw that. The guy wanted alot for it so they just left it be. Really rough shape but still probably worth alot to someone.

The episode name is "Pandora's Box".  Anyone that missed it should be able to watch the full episode online.

I did a google search and couldn't find anything. Probably a pre  WW II project that was never finished. Would be interesting to find info on it.

If it is a Pierce Arrow it is just what a good land speed racer needs ... a rugged unfinished project that was engineered 70 years ago with long obsolete parts from a car company that went out of business in 1938 ...

Does this car have any history at all. It seems that who ever bought the car is going to spend a lot of money to restore it and the question is can it be run anywhere or will it be just a museum piece. I will say one thing it is in poor shape.

T-man, I know you meant that in a friendly way, but I like the fact that this site tends to let all the bullsh*t shake out before Stan or I spout too much steam.
