I'm testing the new system, courtesy of Milwaukee Midgets audio swag, all day and maybe overnight.  @ Meridix.com, search for Landracing, see TEST 8/3/2012

Running background music, with the CB on the local weather channel to check the mixer and levels, might be annoying, I'll stop it.  This year's new bit is the omni mic on top of Slim's trailer pointed to the track with the hope of picking up engine sounds as they pass through the lights.

Anyway, if anyone wants to do a sound check once in awhile, it's there.  Too bad I don't have audio of conversations from the salt, which I hope to record for future use as filler and such when  things are quiet on the track.

I'm switching out various server computers, to see it they will stay online for the WHOLE day's audio demands.  With another running nearby to monitor the Meridix.  We'll just tune into 1610 with out receiver and recast everything everyone else hears in their radios, plus do the occasional mumbling, grumbling, and sound checks as it progresses.

Thanks for the sound checks, cheers...

Woo, woo!  UK listeners not at the Olympics?  Well LSR is bigger than the Olympics, indeed.

Working in beautiful, rainy, southern California.

Yup, rained in Sylmar and Simi Valley.
Well, it used to be Los Angeles . . . 50 miles north of Fresno now.
Just remember . . . It isn't life or death.
It's bigger than life or death! It's RACING.

Sounds good here, Max.  I'm not hearing the 60 cycle hum we had last time.

Make sure you've got clean power on the salt.

Heinrich Hertz would be proud!
