Cost to repair crankshaft?
« on: July 24, 2011, 08:07:37 PM »
The previous thread got me thinking about my crankshaft for my '03 Hayabusa. It got damaged when a rod broke. The bearing surface on one throw is all hammered. I hate to throw it away because they cost over $1000 new, and used ones go for up to $750 on eBay.
Does anyone have a ballpark on how much to fix this kind of damage? I know it depends on a lot of factors, but if I can get it repaired and resell it for more I will do it.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Don

Try Crankshaft Specialist in Memphis TN 901-452-6663

They repaired a bad rod journal and chromed all the others, forget how much, but seemed reasonable.
