Mike Cook Jr. is having surgery Friday morning please keep him and all of his family in your prayers.Thank you will post Friday how surgery went.Tiny

Junior is getting surgeried?  Both Nancy and I hope it's nothing big and serious - but no matter what, we both hope he's up and about and all better really soon.  Best wishes, Mike, and tell the doctor to make sure he cleans all of the rust off the blade.

I remember standing next to Mike at the sunrise Service at Bonneville last year.

We prayer together that day, and I pray for Mike today!

Mike Jr. goes in this morning for surgery.He has a brain tumor causing bad headaches & vision problems.Please do not call Mike Or Penny for a while I will post as soon as results from Doctor are released.Thank you much from Cook family.Lets pray A lot for Junior & family Tiny.

Mike jr. should be in surgery at this time. Please say a long and hard prayer for Mike and his family regarding this. They are going to need a lot of support getting through this.

Mike Jr. is out of surgery and all went well. The results on the tumor will be known in a few days. As requested please don't call the family until they get a few days rest. We will keep everyone updated.The Cooks want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. :-)

Just got back from seeing Mike Cook Jr in the hospital. He is still in ICU and most likely will be through tonight. Mike Cook senior indicated that he will be in the hospital for at least four or five more days. The near term prognosis looks good. Jr. is still heavly medicated so I don't think he will be tweating or up on facebook anytime soon. Mike, Penny and Chrisy were at the hospital with Jr. and they all seemed in good (but concerned) spirits. For those of you that are local (so cal) the visiting is still very limited...... I would suggest that you give Mike Cook a call before you decided to visit.... More tomorrow.....

Mikey is strong as an ox and imbued with a constitution and conviction rooted in the Almighty. I have faith he'll be back on the dirt and thinking of the salt before too long. And may God bless him and those love him to find a measure of comfort in knowing they are not alone in this medical chaos.

Just got off phone with Mike Sr. said junior was up walking in hallway today has been eating & yesterday woke & told his dad what ime it was which means sight is returning. I sent a Prayer Request to our Church group to pray for a speedy recovery for Mike and comfort for Penny and Family.

That will add about 150 people praying for them.

Praying and family support means so much during these events that happen in our lives. I know how it helped the Cooks during this difficult period. There are others out there that need our support as well, lets not forget them.

Nancy and I are glad to hear that Mike Jr. is recovering successfully.  I think our best memory of him is watching him and Tommy zooming all over creation during the Shootouts, doing everything from being a roving course steward to being starter - and so on.  Those two have a ball - and we'd sure as heck miss it if Mike couldn't continue his fun/work.  Heal quickly, Mike -- we're hoping for you.

Hi there everyone sorry I haven't responded quicker it's been a crazy three weeks. I would like to say thank you to every last one of you for  the support system or family has received from or fellow racers it has been great. And I truly feel blessed to know everyone of you. I will be back in the doctor in two weeks for another MRI to Make sure nothing growing back. I have gaind my vision back and have not been in any pain sence the surgery. Thank you again for all the well wish and support. Here to a fast and safe 2011 season see you on the dirt or salt 8-)
