Post by: Cajun Kid on January 02, 2011, 10:58:44 AM
WOW !!!   Can you believe that in just 90 days our 2011 season begins ??

So the countdown begins... Get those builds, rebuilds, upgrades, modifications or whatever is on your list DONE...

We have a bit of aero fine tuning to do on the Stude, but should be set and ready in plenty of time.

I can't wait to see everyone again in April, so get your membership, pre entry and banquet ticket info in early.

Let's make 2011 our  Funnest, Fastest and Safest Season Ever.

See ya all in 90 days.

Charles

Not enough time to do everything! Building a garage sucks, although having a garage absolutely rules! If I can get the electricity run out there in the next week, I might be able to get my transmission fixed along with that pesky freezeplug issue. The blower, quickchange rear, roller cam, cage additions, and everything else will just have to wait.... oh, well.

Looks like the body for the duc should ship within a week!  If all goes well we will have it modified and fitted in time. Of course that includes building the ramair opening and ductwork...  Pretty sure we won't mess with paint until we get some runs in.

We should be done with the ZX-6 and 10 with a little time to spare, but may not be there in April.  Our concentration this year is Texas and Loring.  While I love Maxton and miss everytime we are not there, it just may not be possible to be everywhere this year.  We are committed to Texas and Loring through a deal with a sponsor.  We will see how it goes, but we will see everyone at some point this year.  Been going slow to long.  Ready for some speed.

What's the date for the May 2011 event?  Nancy and I are going to Denver in the middle of the month to attend a wedding - and I expect that the wedding wil trump our attendance at the May meet.  But -- I wanna be sure of the date.  Anybody got a schedule?  The ECTA website still shows 2009 and 2010 skeds - nothing about 2011.

Well, so it does.  I guess this means that you're suggesting I pay attention to the stuff that I've put on my own website, hey?  Thanks, though, since now I see we don't have a conflict - except that maybe we'll decide it's a conflict anyway.  We need two days each direction to travel to Maxton, which means if we leave there Sunday afternoon we get home by mid-afternoon Tuesday.  And we need to fly out of Marquette Thursday to get to Denver in time for the Friday noon rehearsal luncheon (fancy word for lunch), so -- we'd have one and one half days in the store that week.  I dunno if we'll be able to keep the doors closed or have a part-timer come in for the two separate events.  We'll see.

Thanks again, Glen.

Well lets see fuel system is finished, recieved modified wiring harness but not yet installed, fire engine (first time for this one), second fire bottle and a parachute will be purchased soon, finish the hood and it may not look too shiney but I can make Maxton's April date with a stock engine and a new car (H/FL) and all of the newbe problems, I can't wait.

I now know how Slim feels ... We have 12 inches of snow on the ground with some predicted for tomorrow and again on Wednesday ... I cannot think about racing when it is a struggle to get the garage door open.

I cant wait to get snowed in. I have a heater in my shed. I can stay out there all day and get little stuff done. All we get is ice and I have to go to work in that.

Just think about the heat of June and well...... NOPE this cold stuff still sucks.
