Why don't you talk really nice to Al Teague and see if he is interested in bringing his out of retirement. I think your KB would bolt right in... although in order to drive it, you would need to be as small as Al was .....

I wish he still owned it.  I'd heard he was gonna put a Hurst shifter in it.

Al never had a bad shift or broke the transaxle after 1990 when we fixed it. Amazing how that stuck with people. & yes, Betsy was sold & then resold. Sid.

Al never did anything wrong in my book -- just trying to put a little humor in it.

Stan,
Have you contacted the guy up in Idaho who has a sort of costello/Yaccouci looking liner for sale on ebay?

There is a thread that is titled (I think) LSR on the bay listing # 260748380571

Stan has a fifty year ongoing project that confuses him daily, don't confuse him more  by suggesting a streamliner project.

Well, who doesn't have a fifty year project?..... in Bonneville years anyway..... our Vega got built into a drag racing altered in the later 1970s..... 35 years ago..... and the rebuilt for Bonneville in the mid 1980s..... and then in the late 1990s it got rebuilt into a way faster Bonneville car.....  our lakester has been a "fixture" in the shop for 16 years now.....

But oops.... the message was for john beck.....
