Hello everyone.

I thought I would post my build photos.  I was hoping to have her finished for 2010 SpeedWeek but as fate has it.... (Not to mention the heat in Houston.)

Since I am new to the sport of Land Speed Racing, I started out with a design on a napkin (probably like most of you). It's been just over a year now.  Half of the fun is in the design and build.  You can see my progress at :

Next comes the fiberglass YUK !   But I'll get there and see you guys in person soon.

Thomas welcome to the site. As I look at the pictures of the build there are several issues that you should run by the SCTA inspectors regarding the cage. Also there is no leg protection over the drivers legs. Inner panels should be added as well. I know the build is not finished but the issues need to be handled before you finish. Welcome to the board! Looks kind of familiar what you have, think I have seen a few of those parts in my dining room... Kawasaki Ninja 500 motor?

  Even if the cage were legal it is awfully tall for a LSR vehicle.

Yea....  In hind site I should have stretched the chassis out an extra 12 - 18" and layed the seat back....  (The next build, right?)  This will probably make the bodywork look very odd.  But you know what they say....  Live and learn......

yep with Glen on this one..... theres no way that roll structure will pass tech.... better start yer rebuild with a look at figure 4 on page 26 of the 2010 rule book

Hose clamps on the fire bottles are a no-no too.

My post stands, run it by the proper inspectors with pictures, drawings etc. Do you have a current rule book. Use the proper channels. This forum is to direct people to talk to those in the know and who to contact. We all offer directions from experience from many years in the sport. Each assoc. has rules that must be followed for their events.
