I hear on the radio you can run at loring for 160.00. Are bikes included? If so what do you need?
Can i run this?

Wow coaster brakes ... I believe you need a "dead man" engine kill and safety wired axle nuts ... you certainly wont need metal valve stems.

Might take awhile to run that thing 1.5 miles.

Hey DW. why don't you tell him about the White Goose 50cc records at Elmo and Bonneville. It was so slow the hour glass ran out of sand. sure glad it didn't go out the back door or we would still be looking for it.

That was a good year for the White Goose Bar Team. Took the slowest record and the largest MPH jump on a car record. All this between cocktail hours.

Of course they do. All questions should be directed to the SCTA web site and the rules and regulations section. Also the rule book has the e-mail and phone numbers for each committee.

Just curious, why is it that each new competitor feels that the rules should be modified for them instead of conforming to the rules that all the veterans seem to be able to meet? The rules are written for your own safety and so the competition is fair. I'd suggest following them. It's also a lot easier going through tech as a rookie if you go with the system instead of fighting it.

I guess this should be answered by the Loring tech people. I didn't look at the heading when I answered but the rules are taken from ECTA and SCTA rule books. Best to ask Todd Dross regarding this.

I'm not trying to have the rules changed. Or to have them make an exception for me. My problem is I've posted many questions and emails regarding the
1. Fuel Petcock for stock 04 Hayabusa?
2. Safety wire every bolt? I thought it was just for oil
3. A special fuel line?
I have read the rule book and folks who were at Maxon said they all weren't necessary. So PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!! I just need to know these three things.

My bike is basically a pit bike. I just posted running it for fun. But i do see where the rules can be confusing.

The rules are not as confusing as they initially seem. Remember that the rules are designed for your safety. When you review the rules it is easier to look for ways to comply then to skirt them. There are going to be dozens of Hayabusa-s that have raced before and if you look at them you will see what you have to do.

Busa boy, you do not have to put a petcock on your busa, your stock kill switch does everything needed. Safety wire front axle both sides and the four axle pinch bolts, oil drain plug, maybe the oil filter, cotter pin or clip in the rear axle. If you are not running production hose clampson your fuel line(2). Metal holdown on the battery. That is all I can think!!

Safety rules ----- minimums, minimums... The requirement for wiring oil drain bolts and filters was dropped (ECTA) 2 years ago, that doesn't make it a bad idea.
