Title: Jr Dragster front wheels?
Post by: SlyOneJr on June 22, 2010, 04:28:23 PM
Saw a post earlier on here about running the Jr Dragster wheels on a sidecar, and I was wondering if you could get a tire that says "FOR RACING ONLY" on the sidewall if these would be legal for a K/GL that is going at most 130 mph? Figuring a car weight of 800 to 850 lbs with driver, for Maxton only. Either that, if they are not legal, anyone have a set of dragster spindles for cheap?

Looking at the 16" wheel and tire setup for the front of the Jr Dragsters, putting together a K/GL for Maxton, hoping for a strong tailwind to get me to 130.

sorry i saw  sidecar in your first post and quit reading---you are talking of building a car  (lakester) with a K engine 30 cu in  ---i was going to build a streamliner with a 500 cc (30 cu in ) motor and after pricing the safety equipment required about 4000 dollars i decided to stick with the bike--buy a rule book and read it very carefully 10 times--welcome to lsr amd landracing.com   willie buchta

I see you plan on Maxton for your build. If there is any chance in the future you will run the salt you will have to re-think your tire plan. The record is around 175, certaintly closer to 200 after this year.
