Looking real good at this point.  A few little changes and some dyno time is all I need to be ready.  May go catch MIROCK at Budds Creek this coming weekend for a little inspiration for future changes.

Been putting out fertilizer on the paddocks instead of here, taking care of Leslie after a bit of oral surgery (she's fine--started reminding me how to do things like breath, etc. yesterday), and got no fast thingies. The Triumph is in the shop getting things done that most of you do for yourselves, such as changing the air in the tires. Got some good news and some bad. There's a Triumph dealer in town again, but it's the Harley dealer. Later

My goal was the April meet. . . .so much for goal setting. . .been doing a lot of work on the car but it seems everything I do takes twice as long as expected and when done with one thing I see five more things that I had not considered. . . one good outcome to this build is that I find that laying on concrete for extended periods of time has helped with my back pain . . . the engine is mounted and the drive train needs only a few more brackets and other little things . . ordering new axles this week . . .  In short, don't expect me to be there in May.  Started on the wiring last week. . . boldly going where I have never been before . . . . Maybe June??

It will be down to the wire.  Hopefully the 10 will be finished for a Production run.  The 6 is killing us.  Cylinders are back off and being stripped and coated.  We have been working day and night for May after missing Miami, Texas any April maxton.  What a start to the year.  Hope we see everyone there.

Anybody got a clutch and pressure plate for a Mitsubishi Truck with a Starion Flywheel? The May meet is becoming endangered...

Nancy and I will be there -- with the ZX12R (again).  This time it'll still be naked -- but we might spray a little bit to see what happens

We'll arrive, as usual, Thursday evening, and be at the track Friday through Sunday.  I'll be inspecting bikes, Nancy inspects riders' safety garb and installs 2010 helmet stickers.

I'll try to take and post more photos this time, too.

The Buzz Bomb is in the Shop and the N2O is going in.  A bit here and a bit there......  Anybody have some little bitty nitrous jets - like #18 NOS?  I just want a LITTLE spray on a stock bottom end.

Dan:

As long as you're online -- Nancy and I plan to be at Maxton as usual, arriving Thursday and available to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  I'll inspect bikes, Nancy inspects leathers and such, and she also enjoyw working at records/timing slips if needed.

We'll see you then.  Maybe going to spray the bike motor, too.

I'll try to take and post more photos this time, too.

Amanda's planning to come down with me again. I'm signed up for the second part of my Java class so us gals won't arrive until late Friday night or Saturday morning but at least we can stay through till Monday morn this time! Amanda did great with the pics last meet so I'm going to put her in charge of that again. Maybe I'll see if she'll jump on here throughout the day and drop some pics & a post or two.

I'm going to try to make a few passes so she'll have a little down time chillin in the beemer. haha

I *might* be able to do some saturday morning tech but that would mostly be dependant on being able to throw a placeholder in line for me. I prefer to run when it's cooler for my own personal comfort so I guess we'll see how the weather turns up.

See ya soon!
Debbie

Hopefully you guys/gals can run at Maxton with good weather..El Mirage is under water and not looking like it is going to happen..more storms as well.  We will know the day before..if it rains out then we atleast have longer to prep for the next meet.

Glad YOU said it, Terry! Can kittylitter be used as ballast?

I'm working hard to avoid that.  First of all, I'm just doing a tiny little shot - 50 HP for this meet.  If it works well I'll try 75 for the June meet (points strategy!).  Also, I'm taking the car to Wayne's for a dyno tune to try to make sure it's rich enough to stay happy.  Still, the rods are the fuse in this engine.  So no guarantees but HOPEFULLY.......

I have a few trips lined up and Maxton may be one, I have been there twice however would like to perhaps hit up Loring??

ECTA racers were great and treated me awesome..well except one however it was to be expected.. :-D

I came a way with one of those nice Green hats however..

With the awesome speeds that Bill is putting down and Shane too I might be the old slow guy..

Heck I am already the old slow guy..

Ms. Dross, If May is anything like April was, there may be an abundance of volunteers and I would be honored to move your bike or marker if it made it possible for you to provide a more needed service. Look forward to seeing everybody soon.
