Hello all.
I'm new to LSR and am trying to get up to Loring this year. I've done some autocrossing and have a little time on the drag strip.I have a copy of the SCTA book and have been trying to figure out what I need to do to get my car ready. Anyone live in the Hartford, CT area that I can meet with? There seems to be a lot of requirements that I might miss and I'd hate to go all the way up there just to be turned around at the tech inspection.
My car is a 1987 Porsche 944. I don't expect to push the car past what it is designed to do on my first visit. I fully expect to stay below category D (125-149.) I'm only going there to get my feet wet in the sport. But if I do well this year.....
Thanks

Dave,
The SCTA rule book is great,,, LTA and ECTA rules "just about" if not fully "mirror" each other... If the LTA rules books are not out yet,,, you can order a ECTA rule book for $10.
Below 135 MPH the 944 should be fine... up to 150 maybe depending on seat, seat belts, and driver safety gear... Over 150 you will need roll bar/cage and all the good stuff..
the RULE book is your best friend.
Good luck and hope to meet you in Loring and or Maxton.
