I need some suggestions about making the bubble canopy. What is the best way to make one, and what temperature does it take to soften it without melting it?

Do a search in the archives, there was a recent discussion on making canopies.

Todds Canopies make a nice product at a reasonable cost.....BUT they are not LEXAN. Being an acrylic product they are somewhat fragile, mine broke in half :-o

My experience has been that acrylic forms optically clear if it's done correctly. Getting the same result with Lexan or other similar products is almost impossible. It distorts and bubbles when heat is applied. Check out Todd's tips and tricks.

I think all non production windows need to be Lexan or equivalent (I used Makrolon)
