Title: Maxton m/c tire requirements
Post by: Larry Forstall on February 01, 2005, 11:39:00 AM
What are the tire requirements for a bike in the 200-225 range at Maxton? I know, I know, I will send in my membership soon to get my rule book.  Thanks

Larry we are going to extend the ZR rated bike tire to 225 again this year.... and the shaved Zr will still be good to 250mph...

Good answer !!
You might prepare a handout that would define the shaving and tire preparation process so there will be no surprizes.
If the requirements are clear enough the procedure would be easy to follow for everybody.
Included might be a list on people willing to do the work.
If there is a company interested, they might prepare the procedure that you can publish.
I would be up to the club to decide if it meets your standard and the company could establish competitve pricing.
It's OK to leed, if you are doing the best job.
