I thought I had this figured out last week but am lost again. Can someone please post what's required for a newbie to race? Which organization do I have to join, if any? etc. etc.
thanks,
Frank

Frank,
Bob Wanner is the contact ... He can answer any questions regarding rules ... there is no current requirement to join the organization as there is one meet a year planned.

Frank, from what I understand, have heard and have read,,LTA will be using ECTA rules.
As said prior Bob Warner is the best contact... You can Join ECTA if you like we would be glad to have you down here in NC too ....Or you can just go online and get the info to order a ECTA rule book.
Good luck,
Charles

I'm posting this on all the LTA threads.
A little reminder to remember SSS Jon W and how kind he is to maintain this beautiful thing, Landracing .com for all of us.
Consider patronizing all the advertising sites here (hits) and when you meet him, let him know how you appreciate him.
Also ask him how he got that Hot woman to marry him.
BOB, I'm thankful, big time, W

If you would like to be listed on the Maynard Area Auto Club events list (probably the most comprehensive list in the north east) can someone please give me one line of text that lists the event, and a contact name and phone number (or email or web site) and we will add it to the list. A LOT of people check this list to find out what is going on. I am sure that a lot of the participants already know about it but I am sure you would like more publicity:

I did read this earlier today, when it was first posted. I took some time to attempt to compose a diplomatic response. Here goes..
I doubt highly if other than LSR types show up in at LTA/09 but if some do, they need to know our rules for spectators.
Good News, it's $5 for the the weekend, just pay, sign a release, get a wristband.
Bad news, Maybe. Only LTA Staff, Racers and their crews are allowed past the start line. Spectators can freely walk (carefully) about the Pits/ Staging /Start area. You get to attend the Historic First LSR Event in Maine at this fantastic venue. I will guarantee you some fantastic runs by some of the fastest cars/bikes in the country. I can not elaborate on who, but I'd highly reccommend reserving rooms now.
The nearby Caribou Inn is giving us a discount , just mention the LTA.

Amazing, I take 6 hours to be diplomatic and skip spellcheck.
Seeing as how this is taking place just two weeks short of the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock, be prepared. You can sell toilet paper for $20 @ roll.
I know, I was there, wasted a highly collectible Program that way.
