Gary (TRNorBRN) and I will be driving up from Texas to arrive Thu pm or Fri early am, hopefully with JohnnyCheese and Mike (Texanzone).
TeamFatAss will be bringing bucket o' bolts bikes to run, but TFA also likes to help out where we can.
If you need help say the word!

You have to ask? There isn't an event anywhere that couldn't use double the volunteers that they have.
Of course volunteers come in the same bell shaped curve as any thing else. Some volunteers you want to handcuff because they are so valuable, other you just want to handcuff.

Handcuffing volunteers?
hmmmmm... why does my mind wander so...
slap-slap!
OK, I feel normal again.

Bob,
These Texas bikers are a good bunch. Met them last spring at Maxton ... Joe

Don't know nothin' 'bout no stinkin' volunteers....
Wish I could make it up there - I'd be happy to do my thing (what ever that is) with your vols, too. You're just too close to Bonneville and I'm going for my first B'ville experience.
Best of luck

Thanks 55Chevr, your one classy guy yourself.
I like cone duty!!!

We've had a steady stream of volunteers for our inaugural event in Maine, and that is a relief. We have a good idea of who'll be doing a couple jobs, but will clarify that in the next few months. Ideally we'd like to have our core crew multi-skilled in different jobs, so we can both rotate jobs and give everybody a break to be able to really enjoy a long weekend. But,we turn nobody away, ever, as a volunteer !!!
On an ironic note, I retired from the FDNY over 12 years ago, where they used to call me Bob, or Bobby, or Bwana, or Borg, or Crash, but never Mr.Wanner. AND, as a lot of the guys in this sport are old, we don't call each other Mr, either.
I assume its a term of respect due to your appreciation of what we've accomplished with LTA ? To give you an out, when you meet BobbyHotRods , Bob Jepson , my partner in this, call him Mr.Jepson, he's really old. And talks funny, too.
^^^^^ All in jest, no bosses at LTA/09, just co-conspirators, with a mutual interest, SPEED !!!!
Dan Stokes !!! Sure will miss you up there, could use a Volley Whip, lol.. If you reconsider due to the rain that's forecast, or lack of rooms, or the lines, or............let us know ?
I don't want to sound like a broken record, but this will be The LSR event of 2009 !

I'm posting this on all the LTA threads.
A little reminder to remember SSS Jon W and how kind he is to maintain this beautiful thing, Landracing .com for all of us.
Consider patronizing all the advertising sites here (hits) and when you meet him, let him know how you appreciate him.
Also ask him how he got that Hot woman to marry him.
BOB, I'm thankful, big time, W

Fly up Al from ECTA. The best starter in the world. Everyone knows him and will feel safe.

Al "the bomb" Freitas ?
-
I'm sure Al will appreciate this opportunity to get back in starting line shape after he is healed up!
-
Actually, shortly before Al got all gravel rashed and rib wrecked, he had planned to run the Blue Dresser all the way up to Maine to be part of our History.
Leave the man rest, I'm sure he'll be uncomfortable, to say the least, for a few months after his misadventure.
If you are reading this Al, take comfort in the high regard your extended LSR family has for you.
A High Speed recovery to you !!!

Thomas and his family are wonderful people.
They have helped out many people in the ECTA many times over the years.
They and the SNART Team are the best of the best in LSR.
Great to hear you guys are coming!!!!
