Title: Before I leave to a race
Post by: Blown Alcohol 57tbird on December 21, 2008, 12:12:47 AM

 This may help others

Before I go to an NHRA Top Sportsman race or NHRA Pro Mod I get the transporter loaded with all we will need and the crew goes over every detail. When racing at 6.14et at over 235mph and the competition so tight you better have it together. But I found it good to travel in a group that way anyone that has problems its a quick fix on the Interstate and have your cell phone handy

This is simple and not many folks do it.  Take your tires off before you leave and look at them real close.  Pull out any nails, etc.  This little trailer tire has a bulge on the sidewall where the plies are separating.  There is a cut in the tread where the cords are visible.   The tire will be replaced before we leave.  Don't forget to put the wheels back on before you drive off.
