Title: chassis question
Post by: AHG on October 20, 2007, 12:02:09 PM
Hello,
I would appreciate a little imput on rear suspension (or not). I am presently building a machine to compete in the 650/APS class at the BUB event.
We are constructing a special framework, and would like a few opinions in regards to a rigid or suspended rear wheel.
I hope to hear from both sides
Thank you ahead of time.

I take struts in case the Salt is perfect.
If not, shocks.
Rigid and potholes are a bad combination, IMHO.

You can limit suspension travel with linkage to reduce the chain tension and anti-dive effects. Also allows closer fit of body parts, lower seat height, etc.
