I wanted to post a pic of the nose in its early stages, this weekend I will have the rest of the foam placed and shaped and glassed.
Looks a bit rough but this is the basic idea.....wont look like the same car come Monday.

hold on there.... don't put polyester resin on that foam!!!! it will melt and all your hard work will disappear! :-o

Spray glue a cheap deal plastic painters drop cloth on first to form a barrier. :wink:

I don't know if it will work here or not, but I think John (WZJUNK) uses saran wrap when glassing and he doesn't want something to stick.

Using epoxy, not polyester....no melting with epoxy (my pop and I built an airplane out of the stuff!!)
Today finished the foam and got one layer of glass applied.
Now the real problem!!!!!!
The nose is so low and long I can get it up the ramp of my trailer without it dragging, had to jack the trailer all the way up and had some friends help me get it in but still drags like a b@#$h.
That sucks!

try backing it in? :-o or have an open space between really long ramps. :|

My Buicks were so low, the bottom flange of the bell housing hit the garage floor when I tried to roll it out.
The fire cutter took care of that.
You can make the last couple of inches of the front out of polyethylene and bolt it on at the track.
It will scrape it's own clearance when it is underway and not ding the glass. :wink:
