Title: SCTA-BNI RECORD RUNS

 Why do we require two runs for records?  Seems like duplicate clocks at 3, 4, and 5 mile would work. I'm suggesting this for two reasons.
First it would reduce the number of runs on our fragile salt. Secondly it would significantly reduce the cost of racing. In our case a barrel of nitro per run.  In 2018 it cost us a racecar.  Not bitching, the Flashpoint will return!

Well, I'd imagine that they were first required by the FIA to take into account aid of wind direction and change of elevation in running two different directions.

Bonneville doesn't change much in elevation, but the wind can aid or hurt your SCTA runs being that they're on separate days.

But the FIA records, I believe, have an hour turnaround for "cars".

"Back in the day" - you had to exceed the record to qualify to run for a record. Then it required two runs in opposite directions.
