Title: Sidecar class special construction
Post by: dresda on November 07, 2019, 10:45:30 PM
Can't seem to find any info on types of fairing allowed, I see for solo's that the seat/cowl can not protrude more the 10" past the back wheel Etc, but no specs for sidecar except your hips to your shoulders must be visible from the side. I am using a wingtip fuel tank from an Avro CF100 jet fighter and it's quite long out the back with the fin, any help would be appreciated, Ray.

The sidecar rules are quite open when it comes to the sidecar itself. I just used a flat piece of diamond plate on a simple square tube frame. For the wheel cover I use a wheel cover for a Cessna 172. Just be sure you can access it during tech so they can see how everything is fastened...
