Title: Drawings for rear of GMC 302 or Chevy 235 for trans adapter needed
Post by: Hans Blom on August 17, 2019, 03:34:29 AM
Good day! I was wondering if anyone has the dimensions of the rear of a GM six to make an adapter.  I need to make a custom adapter for various tranny options. I asked over on the Inliner site as well to cover my bases.

Thanks for any help!

Hi - I see that you posted several months ago nobody has gotten back to you. I do not have the dimensions or an adaptor plate but I could walk you through how to do it yourself.  I have made an adaptor or two over the decades. You could probably "get away with" using a good drill press although a milling machine would be preferable.

Or, alternatively, did you find someone who had what you needed already?

Either way, best of luck!

Hans:

If you know somebody that is a member of the Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA) and has access to PROSIS engine spec software, they should have factory blueprints of the engine in question.

I've bought 3 from Buffalo Enterprises in Washington. Great product that fits. He will also do a starter ring gear to the crank flange if you want. He advertises in the Inliners periodical the 12 Port News.
