Greg Adams was taking a bunch of pictures and has a lot of info on runs to bad he no longer posts on this site oh well. I can tell you a certain roadster running s small cube ARDUN ran over 200 MPH on its third shake down run. Weather was great Wednesday and Thursday lots or runs were had by all in attendance. My race car decided it was time to burn a piston good thing were testing now we know what to do for Speedweek. Thanks go out to everyone who make the LTA events second to none. Tim and Joe go out of their way to make everyone of us feel at home. When you leave with a record you have record certs and timing tags handed to you no waiting for the delivery in the mail. Good times for sure.

No racing on Friday, rain out. But there was raining on Saturday, not enough to race on Sunday.

From the LTA website:
"THE 2019 MAINE EVENT IS IN THE BOOKS
With 5 days of racing, it only took 3 to race everyone out!
521 Runs - 223 Records set and a 155.831 average speed
We would like to thank all of our volunteers and racers for a great week of racing to mark the 10th anniversary of the Maine Event. Shane Stubbs was able to reset the absolute world record for a naked bike at 265.291 in the mile. This was also the fastest for the event which puts Shane in contention for the Warner Cup.
The fast car for the event was Bob Keselowski at 249.790 at the 1.5 mile followed closely by his brother Ron at 247.
We do have a couple of big announcements for the Fall so stay tuned!"
I ran my 1968 Bridgestone 350 with a quarter fairing (which put me in partially streamlined class) to 114.5 mph which is a Loring record in MPS-G 350/2 (2 stroke). Not quite Don Vesco speed, but faster than the AMA Classic 350 records.

Thanks for the complements, Woodie, but Slim may want to move this to "Tech" under "Suspensions" - - maybe under "Bike Anti-dive rubber sprung ......"
