Title: Good Shade Cloth supplier.
Post by: robfrey on June 14, 2019, 02:59:52 PM
I spent a lot of time trying to find good shade cloth for our Bonneville pits over the last couple of years.
Our pit has been evolving and we are adding sections to it every year.
In 2017 we tried a white shade cloth from Yuma's Bargain Warehouse or something like that. It was supposed to be 73% shade but we BAKED! We figured the white would reflect scorching rays away. It did not. We did have pretty good luck with the other hardware we got through them such as canopy fittings and bungees.
In 2018 we bought new canopies from Shadeclothstore.com.
They made us up our custom sizes (19.5' x 39' for $330 and a 16.5' x 12' (for over the kitchen area) for $130.
Both canopies were made from the knitted 80% black.

I was impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their product. We found out the hard way that this is one area you don't want to skimp on. Their prices were not the cheapest but I think they were fair and as you know, you usually get what you pay for.
I worked with Kelly and she was a gem. kelly@shadeclothsore.com or 866-727-6658
She even sent me some samples before I ordered to see if I wanted the knitted or woven material.
I know this is an endorsement for Shadeclothstore.com but I received no special pricing from them.
I just wanted to share what I took forever to find so others don't have to.

Rob, we found ours 25 years ago at tractor supply... cattle guard is what they called it then.  still use one of the two originals.

Harbor Freight, mesh tarp, use the 20 or 25% off coupons everyone gets at least twice a week.
