Check with your home-beer brewing buds!

7707,

Make sure the measurement range(specific gravity scale range) is correct for the fuel type or fuel mix you have in mind.  The brewer's meters seem to have a very narrow range.

The Top Fuel guys now use a digital hydrometer....which makes mixing the nitro much easier. They are out there. I was told a guy in Richmond, VA. Weis Racing supplies them but I cannot find any contact details for him anywhere. Hopefully someone on here might know him.

Tried that ....but a $25.00 one used for testing beer is no good. I now know they are manufactured by “Anton Paar” especially for testing fuels and most of the top teams use this type.

Here in the UK Anton Parr do supply them. At current exchange rates that works out at approx $4500. Plus they have to be recalibrated every 12 months. It has be a specific model (DM35 Ex Gas) plus pack for Nitro.

So...back to tried and trusted method of Hydrometers.
