I don't often listen on-line, Mike, but my stereo in the shop is usually playing Chet Baker or The Modern Jazz Quartet.

Odd interest..... Gillian Welch, Pomplamoose, Lindsey Sterling, Allison Krause, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
Even an old 2003 JimL album (once in a rare while).
Probably too many rides around your sun, on this strangest planet I have ever lived on!

I like the soft, soothing restrains of " Cradle of Filth"...Unless I`m in a calm mood, Then it`s Sore Throat`s " Disgrace to the Corpse of Sid "...You`re kidding..Right?? Any `Floyd...Early Genesis and a little Jimmy Buffett to get my Island Jam on.

I usually have either Classical Minnesota Public Radio or Classical Wyoming streaming in the house and shop. If Nancy's at home we'll more likely be listening to Aardvark Blues FM or Atlantic Sound Factory.

JB's  Cowboy in the Jungle

As a former musician, I've always found it difficult to focus on getting anything done while listening to music.
The issue for me is that as I listen, I wind up mentally going through the exercise of thinking through what I would play on any piece I'm listening to.
This started years ago when I worked 3rd shift in a grocery store. The Muzak system was rather tinny sounding, and while I stocked shelves, in my head, I'd be inserting bass lines where I couldn't discern one on the floor. I still do it today.
Now that said, if I'm just putzing about the garage and don't care what I get done, the Texas Playboys are a go-to, but then so are the Sex Pistols, Merle Haggard, NRBQ and the Flamin' Groovies.

Good idea Bob....Just don`t listen to " The Great Gig in The Sky" whilst scrolling through pics of your dearly departed cat Milo...It makes your allergies act up and you get all teary eyed and sniffly

Santana, Grand Funk Railroad and Ten Years After.
That's because you'd love to change the world... but like me you don't know what to do
-
CD player in the shed; currently Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Marion Faithful, Wishbone Ash, Patti Smith, The Commodores (pre disco), Pink Floyd, Joe Walsh and Supertramp.
Pedal box work planned for this weekend (if I get the DIY chores done quickly) probably requires some rotation of CDs from the house as its getting predictable.

The music in the workshop is a must.
Imagine being creative in total silence????.
We should all listen to Ameica's Horse with no Name before starting work. :-D  :-)

My Garage stereo is better than in the house,And I go From Punk to Heavy metal to Amy Winehouse
